About

A traveler, a sister, a daughter
My priorities are clear - family and travel come first. Whether I travel alone, with a friend, or with my family, it is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life.

I was lucky enough to have two outdoorsy parents - My life changed the day I went to summer camp in Castleton Corners, Vermont. I fell head over heels at age 14 with the natural beauty of the Green Mountains. It was the antecedent for pursuing an environmental career.

In 2019 I graduated with a degree in Adventure Education and Environmental Studies. It's how I developed a foundational skillset in outdoor leadership. In the beginning I didn't really have a philosophy of my own yet. How could I? Yet years of life experiences later I've been able to think more broadly about the world as a whole, especially since leaving the country.

What is Adventure Travel?

Outdoor Lifestyle

Do you want to hike? Canoe? Have you ever been kayaking? What about biking? What are your dreams when you think of "adventure"? Sometimes, adventure is in your own backyard. In fact, most days it is! Other times, it leads to ruggedly beautiful Patagonia, the ecologically diverse coast of California, or the famous pilgrimage of Spain's "El Camino". Adventure is unique to you, which is why I will coach you through your first experiences in the great outdoors, help you find places to explore, and support you in enjoying nature.

Learning Through Big Mistakes

I went backpacking the wrong way in 2017 - what could have been a beautiful scenic loop turned into an absolute nightmare. We gained thousands of feet of elevation carrying frightfully heavy packs, in miserable temperatures. I have countless stories like this one where the trip was ruined. It's how you learn!

Multiple Meanings

"Adventure" travel includes viewing travel experiences as a part of life, rather than separate from it.

This can include negotiating issues at home while abroad, processing feelings about big life events, and figuring out big problems without easy access to technology.

“You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting – over and over announcing your place in the family of things.”
